Hello! I'm so happy you are here :) My name is Erica and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10 years of experience working with individuals from all walks of life. I specialize in supporting adults dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and the complexities of life transitions and postpartum mental health.
Hello! I have 15 years of experience working with depression, anxiety, and trauma in various work settings. I specialize in trauma, ADHD and Perinatal Mental Health. I am trained in EMDR and am very passionate about continuing to learn all I can in these areas.
I specialize in supporting adolescents and young adults as they navigate the unique challenges of growing up, finding identity and new roles, and building resilience. Therapy with me is collaborative and supportive, and my approach is grounded in warmth, curiosity and genuine care for your story.
Hi, I’m Erin McMahon, a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (DNP, PMHNP-BC) providing telehealth care across Colorado. I focus on outpatient medication management for adults navigating anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, and women’s mental health.
Before becoming a psychiatric NP, I spent more than a decade as a nurse in emergency and critical care, along with inpatient psychiatric experience — so I bring a steady, grounded presence, even when things feel complicated. My care is rooted in shared decision making: you’re an active partner in your treatment, not just a recipient of it. I take time to understand not only your symptoms, but your history, your life, and what matters most to you before we talk about next steps. I’m trauma-aware, identity-affirming, and comfortable with complexity, and I offer culturally humble care to clients of all identities and backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+ individuals.
I have a particular soft spot for high achievers, eldest daughters, and the people who quietly hold everything together for everyone else. Your first visit is about getting to know you — not rushing to a diagnosis or a prescription. We’ll talk about what brought you in and what you’re hoping for, and my goal is for you to leave feeling genuinely listened to, with a clearer sense of what working together might look like. I’m not your typical provider, and I tend to attract clients who aren’t looking for typical care.
Welcome. I'm Denise!
"I work with adults who are looking to take a holistic approach to managing their mental health".
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Addiction Counselor in the state of Colorado. I have 30 years of professional work experience in Behavioral Health and Recovery Services treating adults and families with a variety of presenting issues, including stress, anxiety, depression, coping with addictions, trauma, grief and loss, relationship issues, and career challenges. My experience is varied and across settings as I have provided individual therapy in a community health center, substance use treatment centers, employee assistance programs and mental health services in a hospital setting.
With all that is going on in the world and our community right now, you’ve likely been carrying a lot for a long time. You learned how to get through overwhelming experiences, and on the outside you seem strong...but inside, you feel tired and disconnected. You might not be in crisis, but you know you’re not fully at peace, either. Maybe you want to feel grounded again, or to understand yourself more deeply, or to reconnect with the parts of you that had to go quiet in order to cope. You’re ready for a slower, steadier kind of healing, and a therapist that feels safe and honors your pace.
If you've been told your anxiety, exhaustion, or emotional shifts are "just stress" or "just aging" — and something in you knows it's more than that — you're in the right place. I'm Kristal, a licensed therapist with over 15 years of experience supporting people through life's most challenging transitions. That career — rooted in crisis intervention, child welfare, and working alongside people experiencing homelessness — built in me a deep capacity to sit with complexity, pain, and change without flinching. That foundation now drives my specialized work with women navigating perimenopause and menopause. I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience to this work. I've walked this road myself — which means when you show up, you will be genuinely seen and heard, perhaps in a way you haven't been in a long time.

Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy spending time outdoors, riding my horses, and being with my family. These activities help me stay grounded and connected to what matters most in life. I value balance, authenticity, and meaningful relationships, and I bring those same values into my work with clients. I strive to create a welcoming, supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and working toward their goals.

Headway helps you find expert-guided support for every stage of motherhood — from finding the right therapist or psychiatrist, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right postpartum therapist in Denver starts with identifying what kind of support you need. Postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, birth trauma, and difficulty bonding are among the most common concerns new parents bring to therapy. A licensed provider — such as an LCSW, LPC, psychologist, or psychiatrist — with training in perinatal mental health can help you work through these experiences with approaches tailored to your situation.
Denver has a strong community of perinatal mental health providers, with options for both in-person sessions across the metro area and virtual appointments from home. When comparing providers, look for details about their specific experience with postpartum care, the therapeutic approaches they use, and whether their availability fits your schedule. A free phone consultation can also help you determine if a provider is the right match before you commit to a session.
Therapy in Denver can be expensive out of pocket, but using your in-network insurance benefits is one of the most reliable ways to reduce costs. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated session costs before booking, and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, making it easier to find a postpartum therapist who is both the right clinical fit and covered by your plan.
