Welcome! I’m Dr. Annakay Rhule, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and adults achieve emotional wellness and balance. My passion lies in creating a safe, supportive space where every patient feels heard, understood, and empowered to thrive.

With a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Palm Beach Atlantic University and years of experience across outpatient, telepsychiatry, and school-based settings, I specialize in caring for children and families navigating challenges such as anxiety, ADHD, mood changes, and behavioral concerns. My approach blends compassionate listening with evidence-based treatment to support long-term growth and resilience.

I work with adolescents and adults who are struggling with difficult thoughts, emotions, relationships or circumstances and who seek to increase meaning in life. I provide a kind, compassionate environment where you feel safe and motivated to work toward goals. My collaborative and nurturing approach integrates evidence-based cognitive, behavioral and interpersonal interventions within a context of awareness, connection and compassion towards self and others.My focus in treatment extends beyond alleviating symptoms to include fostering positive experiences such as love, joy and peace.

Call me Ben! I've been in private practice as an LCSW for 6+ years and the mental health field at-large for close to a decade. I live in Asheville, North Carolina with my wife and our two cats. I love to go hiking and kayaking, I own a record store where I also work, and love a good gaming session with my friends.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Professional Mental Health Clinician, and Life Coach with over 25 years of experience providing inpatient and outpatient mental health therapy, as well as more than 30 years of working alongside individuals to help them create meaningful and lasting change in their lives. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Florida State University, a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Georgia, and I am an active member of the Phi Alpha Honor Society.

I believe that the most powerful change happens when clients feel safe, accepted, and empowered to be themselves.
