As a therapist with over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, families, and
individuals, I use a trauma-informed, client-centered approach.
Therapy that helps you feel more like yourself again. Many of my clients are the people others rely on. They are caregivers, professionals, business owners, parents, partners, and helpers who spend so much time taking care of everyone else that they lose connection with their own needs, emotions, and sense of self. On the outside, they may appear capable and high functioning. Internally, they often feel anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them.
I'm Brienne Hackett. I have worked as a therapist since 2015. I have experience ranging from working with children, young adults experiencing their first episode of psychosis, life transitions, grief and loss and other things. My strengths include empathy, sense of humor and relatability. I allow clients to share their goals from their own point of view, I empower clients to challenge themselves to grow and maintain positive perspectives of self. I graduated from Marygrove College in 2013 with my BSW and graduated from Wayne State University with my MSW in 2015. I work well with young adults to individuals age 55. I hope to help you on your journey to becoming your best self or simply helping you get through the difficult times that arise.
