Welcome! My name is Justin and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked in a variety of settings, from schools to shelters to community mental health clinics, and with a range of clients, from children to older adults. I have found that across all settings and people, the most important aspect of therapy is developing a relationship in which the client feels safe, respected, and connected. This will be my priority while I join you on your journey to healing.
I have nearly 15 years of experience supporting adults and professionals who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. I’m licensed in NY, NJ, Arizona and Florida, and my focus is on creating a warm, safe, and collaborative space where we can work toward your goals together.
I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation of meaningful growth. You are the captain of the ship, guiding the direction of your healing, and I serve as a trusted co-captain helping you navigate the course. I may offer tools or “homework” to support your progress between sessions, but I also value simply holding space for you to reflect and be yourself.
Compassion and integrity are central to my therapeutic process—I show up with consistency, care, and professionalism so you always feel supported and understood. Together, we’ll focus on cultivating deeper self-awareness, emotional balance, and more fulfilling connections in your life.
I am a dedicated mental health clinician with extensive experience supporting individuals across a wide range of clinical needs. My work has included treating patients with substance use disorders, dual diagnoses, PTSD, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder (BPD), anxiety, depression among others. I have a strong background in both community-based mental health settings and outpatient substance use treatment programs, including Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and Level 1 care.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual.
In learning about one’s personal strengths I utilize that information to assist in the healing process exploring what you would like to see different in your life and explore options in our journey together. I assist individuals to find new ways to cope, function and learn to let go of behaviors that are no longer serving their best interests.
I received my doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Yeshiva University's Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology and have spent my postgraduate career working in private practice. I have particular experience in working with folks struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties and self-image.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Searching for therapists in Ithaca starts with finding someone whose training matches what you want to address. People often look for therapy in Ithaca for anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, or work stress. As you compare therapists, look at the specialties and approaches listed in their profiles, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, or couples counseling. A therapist’s bio can help you understand who they support, how they structure sessions, and what working together may be like.
Ithaca is a smaller city, so local in-person appointment options may vary by neighborhood, schedule, and specialty. Virtual therapy can expand your options across New York while still connecting you with a therapist licensed to provide care in the state. As you narrow your search, consider whether the therapist is accepting new patients, offers appointment times that fit your calendar, and provides a free phone consultation. Reading profiles before booking can help you compare communication style, focus areas, and session format in one place.
Therapy in Ithaca can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before care begins. Headway helps you search for therapists who match your needs, verify your insurance, view estimated out-of-pocket costs, and book directly when you’re ready.
If you're experiencing or worried about violence, threats, or coercion in your relationship, couples therapy isn't usually the right starting point — individual support is safer. The National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233, or text START to 88788\) can help you think through next steps.
