Common reasons families seek therapy include ongoing conflict between parents and children, adjusting to divorce or co-parenting, blending households, navigating a family member's mental health concerns, or simply wanting to communicate more openly. A licensed provider — such as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW — who specializes in family therapy can help your family work through these dynamics together.
Pittsburgh families have access to providers trained in a range of approaches, including structural family therapy, emotionally focused therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Many providers on Headway also offer a free phone consultation so you can ask questions and see if it feels right.
