Successful therapy begins by meeting the client where they’re at. As a clinical therapist with a background in social work, I believe therapy should be client-centered with a feeling of safety and trust. I pull techniques from various well-known therapies that are unique to the client's needs, acting as a guide, partnering with the client to find the best path to success. Some may need only one or two sessions, while others more. Regardless, this is a journey that we can figure out together.
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist whose work is grounded in evidence-based, compassionate care. I completed advanced graduate training in clinical psychology, followed by supervised work in outpatient and higher-acuity settings, where I treated adults and adolescents with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties.
In my practice, I primarily use approaches like CBT, ACT, and trauma-informed therapies, integrating them in a way that’s tailored to each person rather than one-size-fits-all. I pay close attention to cultural and contextual factors, and I use measurement-based care so we can see whether treatment is actually helping you over time.
Clients often describe me as understanding, direct, and collaborative: I’ll bring structure and clinical expertise while also respecting your pace and values. I work with individual adults (and in some cases teens) who are dealing with issues like chronic stress, perfectionism, identity and life transitions, grief, and the impact of past traumatic experiences.
My goal is to provide a space that is both validating and change-focused; somewhere you can be fully honest, feel understood, and also develop practical skills to live in a way that feels more aligned with who you want to be
Are you struggling with feelings of sadness, inadequacy, or lack of peace? Are you having difficulty coping with life stressors or just day to day circumstances?
I earned a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have experience working with adults who are struggling with trauma and grief.
My focus
I specialize in working with adults facing depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, occupational stress, relationship conflicts, cultural and identity issues, and survivors of abuse. I help clients build understanding and chart a path forward using evidence-based approaches.
My communication style
My style is nurturing, accepting, empathic, and personable. I use unconditional positive regard to help you feel safe without judgment. I validate how you feel and normalize your situation so you can feel comfortable and at ease in our work together.
My journey to mental healthcare
I became a therapist because I have always accepted others, regardless of their background or circumstances. I believe in advocating for those who may not otherwise have a voice.
With over 20 years as a counselor in an education setting and over 5 years as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I help people navigate stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and more. I recently retired from my education profession and now devote all my time to my counseling practice. My goal is to build a genuine connection and be someone you feel comfortable turning to as you move toward the life you want.
