I love people; they're my favorite! ;)
For over 20 years, I've been in roles dedicated to supporting and serving others—work that continues to bring me deep joy. Over the past four years, I’ve focused specifically on therapy, walking alongside clients in their growth and healing journeys. I’d be honored to support you as you take this next step.
I specialize in working with people with Anxiety, Phobias, PTSD, Adjustment Disorders and Codependency. I also work with people on setting and maintaining boundaries, goal-setting, assertiveness training, communication skills, changing thoughts and behaviors and coping skills. I provide support when you are in crisis, need help with parenting skills and work with you to reduce symptoms that affect your everyday life. If you want to incorporate bible scripture or prayer, I am happy to provide this support! If requested, sessions can include walking, movement, meeting inside or outside the office.
Hi, I’m Joelle Nagel, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s from the University of Denver. I have years of experience helping clients of all ages in schools, private practice, and clinical settings. My specialties include trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT, and behavior intervention. I’m passionate about creating safe, supportive spaces where people can grow and heal. I blend compassion with structure, always meeting clients where they are.
I am a passionate therapist who strives to empower my clients
I utilize an eclectic therapeutic style that allows me to meet the client where they are to help them accomplish their goals
Being a therapist is more than a job to me. It is a calling
With over 22 years of experience in social work, I offer a calm, supportive, and practical approach to therapy for teens and adults navigating stress, anxiety, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported.
Much of my professional background has been in the public school system, where I worked closely with children and adolescents using brief, solution-focused therapy, emotional and practical support, and advocacy. This experience allows me to connect easily with teens while also helping adults—especially parents, caregivers, and professionals—navigate challenges with clarity and confidence.
I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from the University of North Texas and my Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. My therapy style is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based, with an emphasis on practical tools, insight-building, and helping clients feel more grounded in their daily lives.
Whether you are a teen feeling overwhelmed by school or social pressures, or an adult managing anxiety, burnout, or life changes, I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where growth feels possible and progress feels attainable!
I'm a dual certified family practice and mental health nurse practitioner with extensive experience in outpatient primary care, preventive medicine and psychiatric practice, managing a variety of both medical and mental health conditions across the lifespan.
"I believe that therapy should be as unique as the person sitting across from me. With nine years of clinical experience, I’ve learned that a 'one-size-fits-all' approach rarely works. That’s why I integrate evidence-based tools like CBT, EMDR, and REBT with a holistic, solution-focused framework to create a proactive plan tailored specifically to you.
My career has been defined by serving those in their most vulnerable moments—from life transitions and developmental stages to veterans and families navigating the complexities of service to individuals fighting addiction and codependency. Whether we are utilizing 12-Step principles or processing trauma through EMDR, my goal is to provide a constructive, non-judgmental space where you can find a concrete path forward. I hold an MS in Counseling Mental Health and am dually licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC) and Addiction Counselor (LCDC) to ensure you receive the most comprehensive support possible."
My therapeutic style is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I am highly trained, deeply dedicated to my clients, and committed to providing effective care that creates real, lasting change. I believe therapy should feel both supportive and practical, offering not only understanding but also tools that you can use in your everyday life.
What I would want clients to know about me is that I understand how heavy life can feel when you are carrying too much for too long. I often work with moms, caregivers, children, teens, and adults who are navigating anxiety, stress, overwhelm, life transitions, and the pressure to keep showing up even when they feel emotionally exhausted. If you are a mom who feels like you are always running, always thinking about what someone else needs, and slowly losing touch with yourself, this can be a space to pause, breathe, and begin finding your way back to you.
I also bring many years of experience in education and school counseling, which helps me support children, teens, and families with a practical understanding of how home, school, relationships, and daily responsibilities can impact emotional well-being. My goal is not to help you chase perfection, but to help you build more balance, clarity, confidence, and peace in your everyday life. Whether you are trying to feel like yourself again or trying to support a child who is struggling, you do not have to figure it all out alone.
When life feels heavy, uncertain, or harder to manage than usual, it can be incredibly helpful to have a place where you do not have to carry everything alone. I’m Alicia Jackson, a social work provider in Cypress, Texas, and I am committed to offering compassionate, supportive care tailored to the unique needs of each person and family I work with. Many clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, stress, family conflict, life transitions, crisis situations, or the emotional weight of trying to hold everything together. My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and supported while working through life’s challenges and moving toward greater stability and relief.
I understand that beginning therapy can seem intimidating and quite overwhelming, and many times, the toughest part of the experience is taking that first step. Still, you have made it here, and you are commencing your important journey to heal and rebuild yourself. I am grateful for the opportunity to meet with you and learn the best ways I can be of service. My practice style is very warm, caring, and collaborative.
I’m passionate about helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, life challenges and transitions, identity, grief and loss, and relational challenges with compassion and practical support. I utilize evidence based treatment depending on your needs and treatment goals. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with eight years of experience in community mental health in Oklahoma, where I provided individual therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention. I hold a BA in Psychology from Harding University and an MA in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College. Before returning to the U.S. in 2023, I lived abroad in France and North Africa for over seven years, an experience that deepened my understanding of culture, transition, and resilience.
