I have been practicing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 20 years. I have worked with children, adolescents and adults. I have experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma and I am trained in EMDR. I work with individuals who are struggling with anxiety as well as relationship challenges.
I have been an LPC since 2017. I am married and have 2 children. I am family oriented and if not hanging out with my family cooking, you would also find me outdoors enjoying the sun, drawing, and reading. We are also dachshund fanatics having had them part of our family since 2003. Currently I have 2 long haired dachshunds.
Do you feel ready for change but unsure where to begin? I’m Keisha, and with over 20 years of experience in the field of mental health and psychotherapy, I specialize in supporting individuals through life’s toughest challenges. Whether it’s managing the stress of career and family, healing from past trauma, navigating toxic relationships, or overcoming anxiety and grief, my goal is to help you move from surviving to thriving.
I listen intuitively — 100% judgment free, with unconditional support. In our work together you'll increase confidence and manage stress more effectively.
We'll uncover the root of what's troubling you, explore new perspectives, and shift into healthier thought patterns.
This is done by integrating evidence based and mind-body approaches, which tends to bring clients RELIEF and CLARITY.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia with over 22 years of experience in the mental health field. I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of settings, including social services as a child abuse investigator, outpatient counseling with children, adolescents, and families, inpatient psychiatric care, clinical leadership roles, and doctoral-level research on family caregiver stress and coping, which I later published.
I hold an Associate of Arts and Sciences, a Bachelor of Science in College and Community Counseling, a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Psychology and Philosophy.
I work with adolescents ages 14 and up as well as adults, and I specialize in supporting people through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, stress, codependency, domestic violence, chronic health conditions, mood concerns, parenting stress, life transitions, and PTSD. I also have experience working with veterans and individuals dealing with complex and overwhelming life circumstances.
My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where people feel understood and not judged.
