As a therapist with over a decade of experience, I recognize that taking the first step toward seeking therapy can be difficult, which is why I want to help clients feel comfortable discussing some of life's most challenging topics. As I near the end of my education in Counseling Psychology, I have honed my experience in trauma-informed care. I have experience in working with individuals across the lifespan, but have focused my recent work with adults aged 18+ with extensive trauma and anxiety.
I am a Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed in Washington, D.C. and Virginia. My internships included The Wendt Center for Loss and Healing, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) in Washington, D.C.; the Virginia Hospital Center, and the Arlington Free Clinic in Arlington, Virginia.
I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Marymount University in 2014. My areas of practice include anxiety, depression, and unresolved trauma - including childhood emotional neglect, sexual, physical, emotional abuse.
I want therapy to be your safe space to be however you are, feel however you feel, and say whatever you need to say, without judgement. Once we bring compassion and validation to those experiences, we can begin to create a vision for change. I support you in setting goals, building skills and overcoming barriers to the life that you desire. I'm also a brain science nerd, so I can help you understand why you respond the way you do.

My specialities are working with those experiencing Anxiety, Depression, Chronic illness, Stress management, Grief, and adjustment disorder.
I apply a holistic and person-centered approach to therapy. I recognize that by creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic environment, clients can learn to redefine dysfunctional boundaries, to reconnect with a sense of meaning for their lives, and to ultimately make lasting changes in their lives and relationships. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in navigating life transitions, grief, depression, anxiety, gender identity, sexual identity, trauma, OCD, narcissistic abuse, adult children of emotionally immature parents, and relationship strain.
