I graduated from EVMS with my degree in Art Therapy and Counseling in 2016, and since then have worked with a variety of different people in many different settings. My approach is collaborative and eclectic - I feel we are all on a path of growth, healing, and self discovery and that therapy can truly help this process along.

Now accepting new clients. I am a transgender man and queer identified. Before becoming a therapist, I had previous work experience and years of study as a creative professional and educator. I value authenticity, a willingness and openness to learn, grow, heal, and live an empowered and sustainable life. I enjoy working with people from all stages of life from adolescents to older adults. I have in person availability on Mondays and Tuesdays to work with clients in person in Charlottesville. With 26 years of clinical experience as a licensed therapist in DC and Virginia, I support individuals navigating life’s complexities—from stress, trauma, and grief to fertility concerns, family dynamics, LGBTQIA+ experiences, anxiety, depression, and moments of transition.
As a proud Howard University graduate, my work is grounded in cultural humility, social justice, and a belief that mental health is inseparable from history, community, and lived experience. Howard taught me to see clients not just through symptoms, but as whole people shaped by family, identity, policy, and perseverance.
This perspective fuels my commitment to therapy as both a healing space and a form of liberation. My practice is anchored in integrity, guided by compassion, and centered on the dignity and humanity of every person I serve.
Seeking therapy is an important step towards healing. I help support clients who are looking to work through issues such as anxiety, unhealthy relationship dynamics, grief, trauma, and early attachment wounds, especially as a result of a borderline or narcissistic parent/caretaker.
I have over 10 years of experience in a wide variety of clinical settings since obtaining my Master's degree and becoming a licensed clinician. I use a client centered approach that draws from my training in cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, and a trauma-informed approach. I have worked with people struggling with addictions, a wide variety of anxiety related difficulties, ADHD, depression, and some bodily focused repetitive behaviors. I also have experience working with couples to address relationship needs.
I believe that you are the leading expert on your own life. My role is not to diagnose you from a distance or tell you how to live, but to walk alongside you as a collaborator. I am committed to providing a space defined by total transparency and zero judgment.
In this room, you are safe to be your most authentic self. I will listen deeply to your experiences and reflect what I hear, helping you clear the path toward the goals and growth you define as important. We are in this together, and you will always set the pace."
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia, I have worked in the mental health field for over 10 years. Currently, I provide individual and family therapy services to teenagers and adults experiencing mood disorders, anxiety, and trauma, as well as with LBGTQ+ and trans/gender non-conforming (TGNC) folks seeking supportive and affirming care.
It can be difficult to deal with life’s ongoing challenges on your own. I can help guide you, but you are in the driver’s seat when it comes to your counseling sessions. You decide where you want to go and we will come up with a plan of how to get there. My goal is to support you while you make the changes you are seeking with the tools I can provide. My role is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you feel heard and understood.
I am trained in Family Centered Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Problematic Sexual Behavior in Children, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also have experience working with active-duty service members and their families, as well as survivors of child abuse and domestic violence.
