I work to provide you a safe, non-judgmental environment in which to work. Each of us are unique and complex. I see my job as helping you to develop tools and skills to deal with your complex life. I am able to help you in the areas of anxiety, depression, motivation, substance use concerns, self-esteem and confidence, grief/loss, and adapting to life changes, to name a few. My goal is to be approachable, accepting, and act as a guide through the process. Much of our power to be happy or unhappy depends on our ability to put our experiences in perspective and find our own path to heal.
We will focus on the strengths you have and how I can help you grow through changing self-defeating thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We will work together to identify your goals, what the barriers are to moving forward, and developing needed skills to navigate through or around barriers. We are all human and at times need the help from an objective party to get through our struggles and to grow stronger!
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I hold space for you to better understand yourself, where you have been, and where you are going more deeply. I believe healing is an ongoing practice instead of another task to complete. In our work together, I will use an integrative, collaborative, and client-centered approach to therapy.
I am a licensed psychotherapist with over 30 years of experience supporting individuals across education, wellness, and mental health settings. My professional background as an educator, National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Certified Yoga Therapist, and psychotherapist allows me to offer an integrative, whole-person approach to healing.
My work is grounded in evidence-basedmodalities, including cognitive and body-centered approaches. I specialize in helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, chronic stress, life transitions, and trauma (including PTSD) by addressing both the psychological and physiological impacts of these experiences.
I believe meaningful change occurs through increased self-awareness, nervoussystemregulation, and a compassionatetherapeuticrelationship. Therapy is collaborative and tailored to each client’s unique goals, strengths, and lived experience. I strive to create an inclusive, affirming space where clients feel safe, respected, and empowered to reconnect with their internal resources and capacity for resilience.
The therapeutic process is one of endless discovery and self-empowerment. Seeking out help is a valiant first step in this personal journey to befriend yourself. Befriending yourself greatly opens the internal space to invite others in so that we might have fuller, richer, and more wholesome relationships with those we love and those we’ve yet to meet. If you seek to reconnect, or connect more deeply, with your inherent goodness, then please reach out. I am deeply excited by the prospect of being able to share this experience with you.
