You are exhausted and overwhelmed. There’s too much to do and you never feel like its enough. Your brain never stops thinking. You always feels behind. Your body is aching. You can’t keep living this way.
If you are a parent, maybe you are yelling more at your kids than you’d like to admit, and the guilt you feel after losing your temper is real. You feel ashamed that everything sets you off. You really wanted to do this differently than how you were raised.
Maybe you feel like you’re failing at life or parenthood; you aren’t proud of how you are coping. And your relationships are struggling. You and your partner feel more like roommates. You feel like you’re drowning in parenthood. Life feels too heavy.
If you are looking for a space to unload your stress, take care of your mental health and feel like yourself again, you are in the right place. Please email to schedule a consultation- my Headway calendar is not an accurate representation of my availability: [email protected]
My goal is to help you understand and accept the many multifaceted aspects of yourself and integrate these aspects, forming a cohesive, harmonious sense of self. Our journey together is about developing a profound self-understanding and acceptance, freeing yourself from entrenched patterns, and healing from past experiences. This process leads to outcomes such as heightened self-awareness, self-confidence, reduced stress, and increased capacity to face the world with your whole, authentic self.
Many of the men I work with feel cut off from their emotions, weighed down by anxiety, and uncertain about how to manage stress at work or at home. Together, we uncover what’s getting in the way, rebuild connection to self, and cultivate the tools needed for healthier relationships and a more balanced, rewarding life.
I offer counseling to adults navigating anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, relationship struggles, life transitions, and grief and loss. I am passionate about supporting women in particular. My clients range from college students to women reclaiming their identity and direction in midlife and beyond. I specialize in fostering deeper self-knowledge and self-compassion through mindfulness techniques, Internal Family Systems, and art therapy. These approaches offer a compassionate, trauma-informed, and acceptance-based framework for inner inquiry, helping to improve emotional regulation and alleviate the severity of symptoms.
I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Somatic Therapy. I have worked for numerous years as a coach, therapist, and instructor for mental health centers and now private practice. I have specific training to trauma and see clients from a wide scope of backgrounds including anxiety, depression, postpartum issues, relationship issues, and life transitions and grief and loss.
Many of the people I work with are going through some kind of transition.
Sometimes that looks like anxiety that’s getting harder to manage, feeling stuck in the same patterns, or navigating changes in relationships, identity, or life direction. Other times it’s grief, stress, or a sense that something just isn’t working the way it used to.
You might find yourself overthinking, shutting down, or reacting in ways that don’t quite make sense, even to you. You may understand things logically, but still feel stuck emotionally.
My background is in clinical mental health counseling, and my work is grounded in approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I also have advanced training in working with relationship dynamics, which often show up even in individual therapy.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a journalist. That still shapes how I work today. I pay close attention, listen for patterns, and help you make sense of your story in a way that feels clear, grounded, and meaningful.
