Hi, I’m Adam. I have a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisville, and I’ve spent my entire career in private practice over the past five years. My work focuses on helping people heal from trauma, and I’m trained in EMDR. I also work frequently with substance use concerns, depression, and anxiety.
Counseling for me is about companionship! Companions are with you through the good and the not-so-good. The most important thing in counseling is creating a relationship where people can feel and think how they want to about their experience within the relationship because whether we are stepping in the right or wrong direction we are ever growing and changing. Everyone perceives life through a different lens. Biological, physiological, and environmental variables influence those perspectives in different domains of people’s lives. All ages with: Anxiety, Depression, Addictions, Schizo and Mood Spectrum, Paraphallic, and Trauma.
Professional & Reassuring
I’m a dedicated provider who values professionalism, discretion, and creating a comfortable experience for every client. I take time to understand individual needs and ensure each interaction is respectful, safe, and enjoyable. Clear communication and reliability are very important to me, and I strive to make every appointment smooth and stress-free.

I have received both my Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, and am currentlyy working towards completing a Doctorate in Traumatology from Liberty University. My trauma work originally stemmed from being a Marine Corps veteran, and witnessing the effects on my comrades. However, grew into youth work through becoming a part of the local education system. I now love working with kids to have a brighter view of their future.

Starting counseling is an important step, and I’m glad you’re here. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment.
I bring over 25 years of experience working with individuals and families. I am currently a university professor and have been in higher education for the past 16 years. Prior to that, I spent 10 years investigating child maltreatment, which gave me extensive experience supporting individuals and families through difficult and often overwhelming life circumstances.
I’ve been working in the mental health field since earning my Masters of Science in Social Work degree with a specialization in Alcohol and Drug Counseling from the University of Louisville in 2011. Over the years, I’ve worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting adults through challenges with mental health and substance use. Those experiences have given me the privilege of walking alongside people in some of the hardest and most transformative moments of their lives.
You may be feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, especially if you’ve experienced trauma, toxic relationships, or emotional pain that keeps resurfacing. It can feel overwhelming trying to move forward while still carrying the weight of the past. You don’t have to do this alone. I provide a supportive space where you can begin to understand your story, break free from old patterns, and move toward a more peaceful, meaningful, and purpose-driven life.
