I am passionate about helping individuals and families find joy, meaning, and connection in their lives. I completed my graduate training at The University of Chicago, and have received additional post-graduate training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) including Somatic IFS, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT and more.
Hi, I’m Jada. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing virtual therapy for adults across Illinois and Maine.
Many of the people I work with appear high functioning on the outside, while internally feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. You might be navigating a life transition, relationship stress, identity questions, or a sense that something feels off even if it is hard to fully put into words.
I offer a space where you do not need to have everything figured out before you show up. We can slow things down together, make sense of what you are carrying, and begin to move toward something that feels more aligned.
I am especially drawn to working with clients around anxiety, identity, relationships, self trust, and life transitions, especially seasons that feel meaningful, uncertain, or hard to name. Much of my work lives in that space.
Outside of therapy, I spend time with my partner and our dog, Autumn, who brings joy, playfulness, and energy into my day and is a constant reminder not to take life too seriously.
I’m an LCSW currently licensed in CT, MA, NH, and ME. I believe that therapy is most effective when it’s practical and empowering. Whether you’re managing anxiety, depression, life transitions or grief, I aim to create a safe and supportive space where growth and change feel possible. My role is not to “fix” but to walk with you to gain insight, develop tools and move towards the version of you that feels most authentic.
Are you feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from the people and things you care about? It can be difficult to know where to begin when you're facing changes or persistent challenges. My role is to meet you exactly where you are, whether you are facing grief and loss, relationship conflict, professional stress, or a major life transition. These hardships often bring about cycles of anxiety and depression. Life transitions can be overwhelming. I’m an LCSW, here to walk alongside you as you break through limiting beliefs and move toward a more expansive self. I also have a deep passion for supporting the creative community—understanding the specific emotional highs and lows that come with being an artist, performer, or creative.
You don’t need to have everything figured out to start therapy; you just need to be ready for something to feel different. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, disconnected, or hard on yourself, you’re not alone.
I offer affirming therapy for adolescents and adults who want to better understand themselves, feel more grounded, and create meaningful change in their lives.
We can talk about anxiety, perfectionism, identity, boundaries, self-esteem, life transitions, family dynamics, dating, friendships, and all the parts of you that show up day to day. Whether you’re navigating the intensity of adolescence or the complexities of adulthood, therapy can be a space for curiosity, insight, and choice. No shame. No fixing. Just support for becoming more fully yourself.
My full name is Kathleen, but my friends, colleagues, and clients call me Kat. Prior to completing my Masters of Science in Nursing through Walden University and achieving my Board Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2021, I worked at the bedside for 20 years as a Registered Nurse in a variety of care settings that included long term care, home care, ambulatory inpatient care for medically supervised management of a variety of withdrawal syndromes related to substance use disorders, and most recently as a critical care nurse in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), both before and during the COVID pandemic. Throughout my bedside career, the inherent connection between mental and physical health has always been apparent to me, and working with people that struggle with substance use disorder helped me in making my decision to become a psychiatric specialized provider. I am passionate about psychiatry and assisting people in optimizing their mental health.
