My name is Carrie Baird. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I have a masters degree in marriage and family therapy with a specialization in trauma. I have been working with individuals, couples and families for over 15 years.

As a triple board-certified nurse practitioner ( nurse midwife, family practitioner, and mental health), I believe that caring for your mind is just as important as caring for your body. I have many years of experience in the perinatal mental health field, but I enjoy caring for all walks of life. I currently care for clients aged 10-65 for many conditions, including depression, anxiety, mood/bipolar, PTSD, and perinatal disorders, among others.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Oregon and Texas providing teletherapy to clients. I graduated from Portland State University with a Master’s in Social Work and have pursued extensive post-graduate training in trauma treatment, couples counseling, and ACT/DBT models. I specialize in working with folks that struggle with anxiety, depression, developmental or acute trauma, family of origin concerns, LGBTQIIA+ issues, obsessive thinking, and stress management.

I became a psychiatric nurse practitioner because I did my own work first — after years in a career that looked fine from the outside and felt hollow on the inside, something finally clicked. I live with ADHD and ASD myself, and I'll be direct: it makes me better at this. I'm wired to hold fine details and the big picture simultaneously, connect patterns across a history, and notice what other providers might miss. I work especially well with children and adolescents (ages 6+), perinatal and antepartum folks, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and people who are AFAB or identify as women — many navigating ADHD, autism, PTSD, PMDD, OCD, mood disorders, or a diagnosis that never quite fit. If previous providers didn't get the full picture of you, that's exactly the gap I'm here to close.
