My focus
I specialize in working with adults facing depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, occupational stress, relationship conflicts, cultural and identity issues, and survivors of abuse. I help clients build understanding and chart a path forward using evidence-based approaches.
My communication style
My style is nurturing, accepting, empathic, and personable. I use unconditional positive regard to help you feel safe without judgment. I validate how you feel and normalize your situation so you can feel comfortable and at ease in our work together.
My journey to mental healthcare
I became a therapist because I have always accepted others, regardless of their background or circumstances. I believe in advocating for those who may not otherwise have a voice.
I’m a mindfulness-based psychotherapist specializing in anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, and career burnout—particularly for professionals in tech, corporate, and high-pressure industries. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the corporate fashion world, so I understand the relentless pressure to perform, the challenges of work-life balance, and the burnout cycle that can feel impossible to break.
I earned my Master’s in Professional Studies in Creative Arts Therapy from Pratt Institute and am a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT), Licensed Professional Art Therapist (LPAT), and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). My approach is goal-oriented, practical, and holistic, combining CBT, mindfulness, and creative therapies to help clients gain clarity, manage stress, and move forward with confidence.
I strive to empower clients to regain agency of their own health and well-being. With 30+ years of being a therapist, I understand that making desired changes can be challenging and fulfilling at the same time.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck, you’ve come to the right place. I specialize in helping people just like you find their path to self-empowerment and well-being. I understand how these feelings can make everyday tasks feel impossible. Many of my clients come to me feeling lost or unsure of how to move forward. Whether you're dealing with stress from school, work, or personal relationships, know that you are not alone. I’m here to help you navigate through these challenges.
Life doesn't always go as planned. Sometimes illness, loss, or an unexpected transition can leave you feeling like a stranger to yourself. These experiences are more common than they appear, especially when you're someone who looks like they're holding it together on the outside while quietly carrying something heavy within. You don't have to carry it alone.
Clients often describe me as compassionate, empathetic, and a genuinely active listener. I bring authenticity and warmth into the therapy room—along with a healthy sprinkle of humor.
I have a master's degree in mental health counseling and have been working with the court systems for the last 9 years leading groups as well as individual/couple sessions.
I received my Ph.D. from UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, a clinically focused school with significant access to psychological and medical training. I transitioned to private practice in 2018 in order to allow for deeper work with clients. I enjoy working with clients on a variety of issues, but identity, meaning-making, and life transitions are of particular interest.
