If you’re the one everyone depends on but you feel anxious, burned out, or emotionally drained, you don’t have to keep pushing through alone. I work with adults who are high-functioning on the outside but overwhelmed on the inside, especially women, professionals, parents, caregivers, and veterans navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, burnout, and major life transitions.
I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and over 20 years of experience across diverse healthcare settings. As a veteran, I bring personal understanding of military culture and chronic stress. My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and judgment-free, blending evidence-based medication management with supportive, real-world conversation.
If you’re looking for care that feels thoughtful, respectful, and tailored to your life, not rushed or one-size-fits-all, invite you to schedule a consultation and take the first step toward feeling more grounded and supported.
Early morning, evening, and weekend appointments are available. Contact the office directly to find a time that works for you.
I'm Rachael Colley, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in psychiatric medication management with a practical, skills-based approach. Every visit goes beyond a prescription check. We will work together so you leave each appointment with a clear medication plan and concrete strategies you can actually use in your daily life.
My background as a nurse and former educator shapes how I practice: I explain things clearly, I involve you in every decision, and I focus on what works in real life, not just what looks good on paper.
Who I work with
I see adults, teens, and children, with a particular focus on ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, perinatal and postpartum mental health, and binge eating disorder. I provide neurodiversity-affirming care and have a strong interest in supporting people who are navigating a late diagnosis, including the relief of finally having answers and the practical work of figuring out next steps.
I work primarily with adults navigating anxiety and depression, trauma, and body-related concerns. Having personally experienced body issues and significant health diagnoses over the past 30 years, I believe our mental health is inseparable from the bodies we live in. I believe the mind and body are deeply interconnected and that healing happens when we honor both. My practice is integrative, compassionate, and rooted in honoring each person's unique path to wellness, and I welcome all genders, identities, and lived experiences. I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with a background in Anthropology. I have completed fellowship in Integrative Reproductive Mental Healthcare. Currently, I am pursuing advanced fellowship training in Nutritional Psychiatry and Ketamine Therapy. I have also trained in Gender-Affirming Care and am passionate about providing safe inclusive spaces for all.
I am ready to listen and to help you in any way I can. I have helped many people reduce anxiety and depression and I would like to help you as well. I have worked with college students, new moms, men, people dealing with work/life balance, grief and loss and older adults who are going through various issues such as struggles with their adult children and health issues. Let's turn some of those tears into laughter. Let's talk.
I have been a double board-certified nurse practitioner for over 5 years, and I'm passionate about using my nearly 20 years of nursing experience to empower individuals struggling with mental health. Beyond my dedication to my family (married to a wonderful man and blessed with 4 lovely children), I find joy in exploring the world, having visited 5 continents! When I'm not caring for patients or navigating family life, I'm dreaming of adventures in the remaining two!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, I bring over 11 years of hands-on experience working alongside first responders and providing crisis intervention in hospital settings, including conducting evaluations in inpatient care. For the past five years, I’ve also successfully managed my own private practice, giving me a well-rounded perspective on both acute and ongoing mental health support. As a former athlete, I understand discipline, resilience, and the importance of mindset, and I’m passionate about helping people tap into their inner strength to find peace, balance, and success in their lives.

Headway helps you find expert-guided support for every stage of motherhood — from finding the right therapist or psychiatrist, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding a postpartum therapist in Glendale starts with identifying what kind of support you need. Providers who specialize in perinatal mental health can help with a range of concerns, including postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, and the emotional shifts that come with new parenthood. Licensed therapists, counselors, and psychiatrists each bring different expertise — a psychiatrist can evaluate whether medication management may be appropriate, while a therapist can offer talk therapy tailored to your specific situation.
With Glendale located in the greater Phoenix metro area, you have access to a broad range of providers who offer both in-person and virtual sessions. When choosing a provider, consider what matters most to you — whether that's a specific therapeutic approach, session availability that fits your schedule, or a provider whose background and style feel like a good match. Reading a provider's bio before booking can give you a clearer sense of how they work.
Therapy in Glendale can be expensive without insurance, but using in-network coverage is one of the most reliable ways to reduce your out-of-pocket costs. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated session costs before your first appointment, and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, making it easier to find a postpartum provider who fits both your clinical needs and your budget.
