My educational background consists of earning my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Master's in clinical counseling, and a Master's in Addictions. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselr (LPCC #16395) and am a certified addictions counselor. My areas of concentration include grief and significant trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, addictions, and a sub-concentration in eating disorders.
My name is Mariana Nogueira, LCSW, and I am a bilingual therapist with over a decade of experience working with individuals and families navigating trauma, grief, immigration, chronic illness, and major life transitions. I received my Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Sacramento, and have extensive training in trauma-focused therapies and mindfulness-based approaches.
Over the years, I have worked in hospice care, hospital settings, cancer centers, community mental health, and with immigrant and undocumented communities. These experiences have deeply shaped my commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed therapy.

I am Licensed in Louisiana and Texas as a professional counselor. I am also Licensed as a marriage and family therapist in Louisiana.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington, DC. I provide psychotherapy to adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
I currently work with the Integrative Digestive Health team at UCLA Health and also provide therapy through Lyra Health. I bring extensive experience across medical and mental health settings, including six years as a liver transplant social worker at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, work on the first COVID unit at George Washington University Hospital, and leadership roles in community mental health organizations in Washington, DC.

I earned my Washington state license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in 2003. I met all qualification and was granted a license in California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2023.
