Schenectady residents can access talk therapy and medication management through Headway's expansive network of 8,361 providers. Whether you're in Stockade, Mont Pleasant, or Bellevue, find compassionate care with open availability as soon as next day, supported by major insurance plans.
I am a New York and CT Licensed Clinical Social Worker helping adults aged 18 and older handle stressors, depression, stress, anxiety, grief, trauma and loss and develop methods of caring for one’s self.
I am a warm, open-minded, and compassionate clinician who values collaboration and respect in every session. I provide both talk therapy and medication management, tailoring care to each person’s unique needs and goals. My approach combines evidence-based techniques with a supportive, client-centered style, helping you navigate challenges while building resilience, personal strengths, and a sense of meaning in your life.
I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly, ask questions about treatment, and feel empowered to make choices that support your mental health. Whether you’re seeking therapy, medication support, or both, I partner with you to develop a plan that works for your life, pace, and values.
I believe that everyone has within them an abundant reservoir of love. Oftentimes, our access to this force is obscured by the wear and tear of life - traumatic experiences, structural injustices, interpersonal upheaval, moral injury, spiritual confusion... and the defenses we create to survive in response. At With Love Psychotherapy, my goal is to facilitate a homecoming to this force - for individuals and couples - as they work toward creating a life that feels aligned and meaningful. In this work, there is nothing to be ‘fixed’. There is only the intentional movement toward what serves you.
Welcome—I'm glad you're here. I offer fully remote therapy with a focus on women’s mental health, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and major life transitions such as marriage, divorce, relocation, career changes, retirement, and starting college. I also specialize in maternal mental health, providing compassionate support during the prenatal and postpartum periods. I accept referrals for adolescents and couples on a case-by-case basis.
Entering therapy can be intimidating, and that's why I always try to meet people where they are in their process of healing, growth, and change. I'm Bethany, a licensed therapist who helps individuals navigate anxiety, stress, and life transitions with compassion and clarity. My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based techniques.
I have spent the last ten years applying my clinical knowledge and love of helping to ensure a safe space that addresses the unique needs of my clients. I have significant experience working with teens, adults, and LGBTQ+ individuals. Together, we'll explore patterns, build coping tools, and strengthen your connection to yourself and others.
Whether you're feeling stuck or simply seeking balance, I'll meet you where you are and help you move toward the life you want to life. Self-discovery, growth, and healing should be a beautiful journey, as your therapist, I hope to be the vehicle guiding you.
I know reaching out can feel hard, especially when you’re already dealing with a lot. You don’t need to have everything figured out—that’s what this space is for.
If this resonates, I’d be glad to connect whenever you feel ready.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right therapist in Schenectady starts with getting clear on what you need. Whether you're looking for support with anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship concerns, or a life transition, choosing a licensed provider who specializes in your area of concern can make a meaningful difference. Schenectady-area providers include licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs), licensed mental health counselors (LMHCs), psychologists, and psychiatrists — each with different training and areas of focus. Reading a provider's bio before booking can help you understand their approach and decide if they feel like a good match.
Practical details matter, too. Think about whether you prefer in-person sessions in Schenectady or virtual visits from home, what days and times work with your schedule, and whether a provider's specialty aligns with your goals. Many providers offer a free phone consultation, which gives you a chance to ask questions and get a sense of their style before committing to a full session.
Therapy in Schenectady can be expensive without insurance, but affordable options exist when you use in-network coverage. On Headway, you can verify your insurance and see estimated session costs before you book. Many patients pay as low as $0 per visit. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, making it easier to find a therapist who fits both your clinical needs and your budget.
