Hi! My name is Monica McKee. I’m a passionate LMFT dedicated to helping couples, individuals, and first responder families navigate life’s challenges, heal from past wounds, and strengthen their relationships. Whether you're navigating relationship challenges, working through trauma, or seeking greater self-understanding, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion and care.
I’ve been married for 25 years and understand that relationships can bring both joy and struggle. This personal experience, combined with my clinical training, allows me to approach couples work with empathy and practical insight. As the spouse of a first responder, I also have a deep appreciation for the unique stressors first responder families face and am honored to support them in therapy. I speak conversational Spanish and enjoy working with clients from diverse backgrounds.
I specialize in helping couples and families reconnect and heal through an attachment-based approach, exploring how early relationships influence the ways we love, trust, and communicate. I’m trained in EMDR and I'm a Gottman Method Couples Level 2 practitioner, an evidence-based approach that helps couples improve communication, deepen emotional connection, and rebuild trust.
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, with an emphasis in Clinical Psychology from Pennsylvania State University in 2010, and my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University in 2023, with a focus on trauma.
Hi, I’m a licensed therapist who helps people feel more grounded, supported, and in control of their lives. I have a strong background in clinical social work and training in evidence‐based approaches that support healing and real change. I specialize in anxiety, life transitions, relationship stress, and helping clients build healthier patterns. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and empowered.
Hello! I have experience working with adolescents and adults using a variety of therapy techniques in individual and group therapy sessions. I work with a variety of treatment modules including CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, existential therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness. I have worked extensively in crisis experience and with clients in crisis partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive out-patient (IOP), and in school settings.
I have always been drawn to people’s stories and have a passion for helping people rewrite their narratives, discovering their strengths and creating resilience through healing. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from TCU and my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Wesleyan University. I enjoy reading memoirs, listening to any kind of music, cooking, yoga, and spending time with my family, especially outside.
You've already taken the first brave step in your journey to healing. My areas of specialization are life transitions, trauma, depression, and anxiety. I practice from a whole person perspective and am certified in ketamine assisted psychotherapy.
