Therapy should not be pathologizing. You are accepted in all of the ways that are authentic to you.
The atmosphere that is created in the therapy session is one of warmth, safety, and acceptance. I have a straightforward, interactive approach to treatment.

I also frequently treat phobias, separation anxiety, emotion regulation issues, school refusal, learning disabilities, trauma, giftedness and 2e.
I am also experienced in helping adults and children navigate issues related to divorce including coparenting, custody planning, divorce navigation from considering separation (discernment) through divorce mediation/proceedings to post judgment. I also have expertise in helping adults navigate post separation abuse, domestic violence and coercive control.
I am a Bilingual, English/Spanish, Licensed Clinical Social worker (LCSW) based in California. I received my Masters from California State University, Los Angeles and have been practicing for 8 years. I aim to create a therapeutic environment that is safe, comfortable, non-judgmental and empathetic. I provide counseling to adults using evidence-based interventions to meet individual needs.
My goal is to aid you in developing the psychological tools needed to deal with complicated feelings and negative thoughts. I use an integrative model of therapy mixing various techniques that are tailored to your specific presenting problem. I am dedicated to creating a safe space that promotes healing and allows you to overcome the barriers that are blocking your growth.
You should know that I genuinely care about the people I work with. I approach therapy with curiosity, compassion, and respect for your lived experience. I believe healing happens through safety, connection, and understanding—not pressure or judgment. My role is to walk alongside you as you make sense of patterns, heal from past experiences, and move toward a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
As an immigrant woman growing up in America, I have seen and personally experienced the challenges of being a minority woman. Through resiliency and perseverance, I am now the clinical director of an outpatient program at a non-profit. I have been working in the community mental health field serving low-income individuals and families for over 15 years. I specialize in trauma treatment, especially sexual trauma. I use a trauma- and cultural-informed lens to look at the issue.
I enjoy working with individuals in the recovery community, first responders, and those who have experienced traumatic childhoods. I don't just talk the talk, I walk the walk.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right therapist in California starts with getting clear on what you need. Whether you're looking for support with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, or something else, it helps to find a licensed provider who has experience with your specific situation. California-licensed therapists include LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and psychologists, each with different training backgrounds and areas of focus. Reading a provider's bio can give you a sense of their style and approach before you commit to a session.
California is one of the most expensive states for mental health care, which makes using your insurance one of the most practical ways to lower your out-of-pocket costs. On Headway, you can enter your insurance information to confirm coverage and see an estimated session cost before booking. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit depending on their plan and location.
With providers available across Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Sacramento, and throughout the state, you can browse therapists offering both in-person and virtual sessions.
