I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in the treatment of adults. I am dedicated to helping you heal from trauma, reconnect with your inner energy, and live as your authentic Self.
I’m a licensed psychologist with extensive experience helping adults navigate depression, anxiety, stress, insomnia, trauma, PTSD, life transitions, and other emotional challenges. Over the course of my career, I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including private practice, military facilities, and the VA. These experiences have given me the opportunity to work with people from many different backgrounds and walks of life.
I believe therapy should be a collaborative process. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable being yourself, exploring what’s holding you back, and building on your strengths. I'm ready to help you get started on your journey!
I received my masters in social work from Adelphi University. I worked as a social work director for a number of years previously but I stopped because I really preferred more face to face time with my patients. I got so much more from my time counseling than being in a management position. Over my 22 years as a social worker, I've come across many people with diverse issues and truly have enjoyed all of my experiences as they helped form the person I am, the therapist I am. Much of my experience is working with anxiety, depression, bereavement, couples counseling, life transitions, stress management, cancer and chronic illness counseling, palliative care counseling, caregiver support and community resource and referral.
People always tell me that I'm a good listener. This is my greatest accomplishment and one I'm most proud of because as your therapist I want to HEAR you. I want to join you in your pain or difficulties and help you find your way through them. I may not have experienced what you have specifically gone through or are facing now, but I know how to find my way in to how you are feeling. Building a therapeutic rapport with you will be my first step. Trust needs to build and then most of my work is generally solution focused and cognitive-behavioral techniques. You will see that I am a caring, non-judgmental person. I would love the chance to help see you through your challenges. You've taken the first step!
I am a licensed mental health counselor who specializes in working with women "across the spectrum of motherhood." I work with women experiencing infertility, pregnancy, postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, heavy mental loads, mom guilt, and empty nests. I have advanced training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and use evidence based approaches in my work.
I have 25 yrs of experience in a variety of settings including emergency rooms, medical units, long-term care facilities & inpatient mental health units. I have provided hands-on case management, crisis intervention, discharge planning and end-of-life support as well as lead teams in those settings. My goal is to identify client's challenges that cause pain, sadness, frustration, anger and even confusion and help them move forward in living their lives to their fullest potential.
Therapy is a collaborative journey. Together, we’ll explore the patterns in your life, uncover your strengths, and develop practical tools to help you move forward with confidence. My approach blends evidence-based methods—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care—with a deep respect for your individual story and pace.
I believe therapy works best when it’s built on trust and partnership. You bring your experiences and willingness to grow; I bring my expertise, empathy, and professional training. Together, we create a safe, supportive space where real change can happen.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right therapist in Buffalo starts with identifying what you want to work on. Whether you're looking for support with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, or something else, choosing a licensed provider — such as an LMHC, LCSW, psychologist, or psychiatrist — who has experience with your specific concerns can make a meaningful difference. Consider what matters most to you beyond specialty, like whether you prefer in-person sessions in neighborhoods like Elmwood Village or North Buffalo, or the flexibility of virtual visits from home.
Therapy in Buffalo can vary in cost, but using your in-network insurance benefits is one of the most reliable ways to reduce what you pay per session. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated session costs before you book, and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans and connects you with providers across Buffalo and surrounding communities like Williamsville, Cheektowaga, and Amherst.
Many providers on Headway also offer a free phone consultation, so you can ask questions and see if it's a good fit before committing to a full session. Detailed provider bios give you a sense of each therapist's style, background, and approach — helping you feel confident in your choice before your first appointment.
