I provide therapy for people feeling stuck and overwhelmed with symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, and eating disorders.
With 20 years of clinical experience, I specialize in exposure to trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and fertility issues. I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill (BA Psychology), and from Harvard University with my Master's of Education (EdM) in Risk and Prevention, and Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) in Counseling. I provide evidence-based treatments to adults, teens, and children (ages 6+) from various backgrounds, and provide therapy in English and Spanish. I work collaboratively with each client to set and achieve your goals. I'm a parent and appreciate the intense love and efforts along that journey. I love dogs, travel, sports, martial arts, and trying new foods.
I have been practicing as a licensed therapist for 10 years and specialize in helping people reclaim their lives by healing from the pain of trauma, anxiety, and depression. I am trained as a clinical mental health counselor with additional specializations in play therapy and trauma focused work. I work with all populations from preteen into adulthood.
I am a North Carolina native and graduated from Winthrop University with my Master's degree in 2015. I enjoy working with a range of clients who are motivated and ready to make changes in order to improve their quality of life. I will work with you to identify and achieve your goals. I place great emphasis on the therapeutic relationship so you feel comfortable during every session, no matter how uncomfortable to topic may be.
It's so good to meet you! As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I believe relationships and connection to be the breeding ground for growth and stability. I consider it a privilege to support clients as they navigate the transition to parenthood, heal from parental or childhood wounds, move beyond "survival mode" by developing strategies for a more manageable and sustainable life, and identify and understand unhelpful relationship dynamics to cultivate more fulfilling and meaningful interactions.
"Welcome to my virtual couch—where breath steadies, the heart softens, and the journey unfolds, I am De'Lisa Hill, let’s walk it together.” Here, your story is met with compassion, curiosity, and clinical wisdom. Together, we’ll revive what’s been withered, rebuild what’s been worn down, reveal what’s been hidden beneath the surface, and move toward restoration with intention.
For more than 18 years, I have walked with adolescents (16-20), adults (21-90), couples, and leaders through seasons of transition, healing, and rebuilding. My approach blends clinical precision with deep compassion. Clients describe my presence as grounding, clarifying, and restorative — a space where they can exhale, be fully seen, and begin again without shame or pressure.
I help you untangle the internal knots created by stress, trauma, relational ruptures, identity confusion, and life transitions. Whether you’re navigating emotional overwhelm, burnout, marital/couples' strain, spiritual fatigue, or the quiet ache of feeling “stuck,” my role is to help you reconnect with your clarity, your agency, and your capacity to thrive.
I am from Charlotte, NC where I was born and raised. To say that my childhood had it's challenges was an understatement. It was through overcoming those challenges that I discovered my heart for helping women heal. I graduated from Appalachian State University in 2011 having studied Psychology. I fell in love with the mountains and working with female survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. This spurred me onward to complete my Masters in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2015. I have been a licensed therapist since 2016 and recently transitioned into private practice. I have a 3.5 year old son and we live happily in Weaverville, NC where we regularly hike, swim, and take in the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains that we are lucky to call home.
