I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (with 21 years of medical experience) specializing in grief, trauma, life transitions, and the emotional impact of medical emergencies on individuals, families. As a counselor, I provide a safe, steady space to process what you’ve been through, make sense of the pain, and begin healing at your own pace—so you can reconnect with yourself, restore meaning, and move forward with greater clarity, strength, and hope.
I believe in taking a creative approach to your mental health. I have extensive experience working with children and teenagers with behavior issues, struggles with peer interactions, and family dynamic issues. I also specialize in working with men navigating fatherhood, marital issues, and intimacy concerns. As a former educator in an alternative school, I can also assist parents in developing effective strategies for addressing children's behavioral issues.
I use a four- fold approach to treating beyond traditional psychotherapy to help you on your journey. I have PhD in Clinical psychology, two master's degree (one in community counseling, one in community psychology). I also have a degree in Addictions and one in business management. Having worked every level of care from an inpatient hospital setting, residential long-term care, in a jail, a prison, out-patient levels for intensive three times per week to one time per week and taught in two universities. I am working my favorite level of care on an out-patient setting. Training has been in addictions, mental health, couples and family systems. I have other specialties with chronic pain and nutrition/bariatrics and obesity and available to provide medical and court evaluations with limited testing. I see children from 12 and up and adults/geriatrics.
I am a mother of 4, a wife, and a 21yr active army veteran. I enjoy helping people in many capacities from mental health, life coaching, real estate consulting, and community service. So, if you are ready to embark on this journey, allow me to accompany you as a sounding board and guide. I’ll bring my compass and I can't wait to meet you.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LISW‐CP) with more than 16 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, families, and high‐stress professionals. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina with a concentration in Individuals, Families, and Groups. I later completed a Play Therapist Training Program at Old Dominion University Norfolk, Virginia, and I am a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT‐S).
My career has been rooted in service, leadership, trauma informed care and crisis‐responsive care. Across these roles, I’ve provided therapy, crisis intervention, diagnostic assessments, supervision, and program oversight. I’ve supported individuals navigating PTSD, anxiety, depression, burnout, family conflict, trauma histories, and major life transitions.
My background allows me to understand both the clinical and human sides of stress, trauma, and resilience.
Everyone has a story and sometimes parts of that story can feel heavy, confusing, or overwhelming. I became a therapist because I believe every person’s story deserves to be heard, understood, and worked through with others. Whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, past trauma, or major life transitions, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I work with both adolescents and adults to create a supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful change.
