Hi, I’m Megan. I’m really glad you’re here. I’m a licensed therapist who cares deeply about helping people feel more grounded, understood, and connected to themselves again. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, grieving, or just trying to make sense of things, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I show up with compassion, curiosity, and a pace that meets you where you are.
I work with people navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, life transitions, and the quiet heaviness that builds over time. My goal is to create a space where you can be fully yourself, even when life feels messy, uncertain, or heavier than you expected.
I earned my Masters in Social Work, and am licensed as a Clinical Social Worker. I also earned a Masters in Science in Hospice and Palliative Studies. I started this degree in Michigan, but I did my internship after I moved here in the Bereavement Department of Four Seasons Hospice in Flat Rock NC. I have continued to learn through Continuing Education. I am a lifelong learner, so I continue to learn and to teach and utilize what I have gained with clients in session. I have trained extensively in Mindfulness, Self Compassion, Compassion Focused Therapy, Grief and Loss, and Death and Dying, and Non Violent Communication. I am also trained in and utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
In my past position of working as clinical Therapist, a large part of my clientele was working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, Communication, and focusing on working with women primarily. I would like to continue to with that focus. In the past I also worked with children and families with Intensive In Home, and people who were homeless, primarily women, with ABCCM. I learned a lot through these experiences that benefit me with my current work.
I enjoy empowering clients with ADHD to understand their gifts and strengths, and to learn ways to feel supported with the struggles of living with ADHD, by learning new coping skills, psycho education, to gain new insights, and feel stronger within themselves.
I have focused much of my clinical enjoy working with women, especially older women, guiding them toward fierce compassion, along with re-creating themselves as they are grow in strength and feel their possibilities in a new way.
I love working with people and helping them "grow" through the things of life that they "go" through. A quote that I love to share with clients and live by personally is to remember not to focus on your purpose but to live your life purposely. As a military social worker my background is specific to first responders, but most importantly individuals that are learning their new "normal" after traumatic life events that have unexpectedly shaped them.
I received my Master of Social Work from East Carolina University and have been practicing as a therapist for 11 years. I believe the foundation of effective therapy lies in a strong therapeutic relationship- one built on trust, openness, and authenticity. I am known for my open-minded, nonjudgmental, and creative approach, helping my clients feel understood and supported as we work together toward growth and healing.
Thanks for stopping by. I believe healing doesn’t have to feel overwhelming or out of reach. If anxiety, depression, trauma, identity stress, or patterns in relationships have left you feeling stuck or exhausted, you’re not alone. Many people seek support when everyday life or past experiences feel heavy, when communication with loved ones breaks down, or when coping feels more reactive than intentional. I work with teens and adults across differences in culture, identity, and life experiences to help you find steadier ground and more meaningful connection in your relationships and your sense of self.
