Hi, I’m Susan Melton, LPC. I work with children ages 8+, teens, adults, veterans, and families who may be navigating anxiety, ADHD, autism, emotional challenges, life transitions, or the unique experiences that come with neurodiversity and special needs.
Before becoming a licensed professional counselor, I spent many years working in education and supporting children and families in a variety of settings. I also have over five years of experience working within a private practice environment. These experiences have helped me develop a patient, compassionate, and practical approach to therapy that focuses on helping clients feel safe, understood, and supported.
I especially enjoy working with children ages 8–12, veterans, and families, as well as individuals with ADHD, autism, and other special needs. I am fluent in ASL and strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment where clients can feel comfortable being themselves.
My goal is to help clients build confidence, improve coping skills, strengthen relationships, and feel more hopeful about moving forward.

Hi friend! My name is Victoria, and I’m so glad you’re here.
I earned my master’s degree in counseling from Northwestern Oklahoma State University, and since then I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients—from children around age 10 through adults in their 60s. My clinical experience includes supporting individuals navigating anxiety, relationship concerns, deeply rooted dysfunctional family dynamics, trauma, and brain injury, among other challenges.
Seeking therapy can feel vulnerable, and my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and not judged. I work with clients ages 9 and up, including individuals, couples, and families, who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, or patterns in relationships that feel hard to change. I’m especially passionate about helping people build healthier relationships—with themselves first, and then with others. Whether you’re navigating challenges in intimate relationships, family dynamics, friendships, or simply trying to feel more grounded in who you are, I believe meaningful change is possible with the right support. I offer both virtual and in-person sessions and value meeting clients where they are—emotionally, relationally, and practically.
Thank you for stopping by! I am excited to get to know you and begin this beautiful journey of growth. Whether you are starting a new journey or you’re looking to pick up where you left off, I’m glad you stopped by!
It is my passion to work with people, as they challenge themselves to grow and evolve. Many of us experience challenging feelings of depression, anxiety, relationship stress, and stress of dealing with the many transitions of life. At times, these challenging feelings can make us feel alone or isolated from our communities of love and support. I believe that I am here to walk alongside you and provide insight and support as you begin to see yourself grow and reach the goals that you set for yourself. I primarily work from a narrative perspective, but I pull from many different approaches to create a safe and efficient environment for my clients to explore and reflect on themselves and their situations.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right therapist in Southlake starts with getting clear on what you need. Consider whether you're looking for help with a specific concern — such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or a life transition — or whether you'd benefit from broader support. Southlake providers offer a range of approaches, from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to couples counseling and family therapy. If you think medication management may be part of your care, a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner can evaluate and prescribe as needed.
From there, practical details matter. Look for a licensed provider (such as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or psychologist) whose specialty matches your concerns, and check whether they offer in-person sessions in Southlake or virtual appointments that fit your schedule. Reading a provider's bio before booking can help you understand their style and decide if they're a good match.
Therapy in the Southlake area can be expensive without coverage — but using your in-network insurance benefits is one of the most reliable ways to lower what you pay out of pocket. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated session costs before you book, and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, making it easier to find a therapist or psychiatrist in Southlake who fits both your clinical needs and your budget.
