A nationally certified counselor, I am also a member of LPC Association of NC and the International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP).
I am passionate about helping people triumph over trauma, learn mindfulness-based practices to reduce stress and manage anxiety, improve self-esteem, understand the relationship among our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors (CBT) and learn to tolerate distress in their lives.
I have experience in several treatment settings, including inpatient and outpatient. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, and various addictions, as well as seniors experiencing challenges unique to their life phase.

I believe therapy works best when there is a strong connection between therapist and client. My style is warm, genuine, and direct. I'll offer compassion and support, but I'll also help you recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
As a trauma-informed therapist and EMDR specialist, I create a space where you can be yourself without judgment. Clients often tell me they feel comfortable with me quickly because I show up as a real person—not just a therapist.
I believe healing happens through both insight and action. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and empowered to create meaningful change in your life.
Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck—emotionally exhausted, burdened by anxiety, or repeating the same unhelpful patterns in relationships, work, or self-care. Often, they're high-functioning on the outside but privately carrying a lot of pain, doubt, or confusion. They may be processing trauma, adjusting to a major life change, or working to break free from addiction or longstanding emotional struggles.
What they need is clarity, direction, and a nonjudgmental space to do the work. They’re not looking for surface-level solutions—they want something real. They want to better understand themselves, challenge the beliefs that keep them stuck, and move toward a life that actually feels meaningful.
Their goals vary—some want to build healthier relationships, some want to manage anxiety or heal from trauma, and others just want to feel more grounded and in control. But all of them are looking for growth, relief, and a sense of inner stability.
We all have experiences in life that might leave us feeling broken or disconnected with ourselves, others, in relationships, and the world around us. I believe that healing and wholeness can belong to all of us. If you are looking for someone to support you on your journey toward wellness and restoration, allow me to accompany you on the road that can often feel isolating when taken alone. The therapeutic relationship is paramount to me!
My passion is to serve the community. Everything we do starts with the mind; therefore we have to keep our mental health at the forefront in order to prosper.
The prospect of starting counseling can appear scary. The worries of what other people may think, the stigma of counseling, and the thought of "am I weak'. I have been in this field for over 20 years, in a variety of setting, and I heard from many who shared their hesitation for reaching out. It takes courage to ask for help! I am here to offer education, support, and provide evidence-based treatments. We will work together to accomplish the goals that you set for yourself in counseling
