I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and trained Psychoanalyst. I earned my Masters of Science in Social Work from Columbia University in 2009 and my certificate in Psychoanalysis from NPAP (National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis) in 2021. I work over Zoom and in person in the Gramercy area of Manhattan.
My work and training have provided me with a deep understanding of complex family and relationship dynamics. I provide a working environment that is calm, empathetic, open-minded, and non-judgmental. I am a parent, pet owner and classical musician.
I like to utilize different therapies such as psychodynamic, CBT, ACT, person centered, and mindfulness to help clients achieve their goals. I have experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety and OCD, adjustment disorders, sexual and domestic abuse, anger management and mood disorders, personality disorders, and family/relationship issues. I also consider myself to be a culturally competent therapist, and have experience working with the Hispanic/Latino Community.
As a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and a proud graduate of D'Youville College, I provide a compassionate, faith-based approach to mental health care. My work stems from my belief that healing is always possible and that hope is a powerful force for change. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions, I offer a safe, welcoming space where we can work together to rediscover your strength and resilience. I believe that setbacks help us grow rather than define who we are. Starting over, sometimes, is the bravest thing we can do.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I received my Master's from Syracuse University and my Bachelor's from Houghton University. In undergrad, my focus was on developmental and social psychology with a minor in family studies. My post-graduate experience and training include therapeutic treatment with individuals, parent-child relationships, adolescents, couples, marriage, and whole families. Beyond the therapy room, I have worked with addiction for over 17 years and severe persistent mental illnesses for 3 years. Today I focus on treating mental health issues - whether with couples and marriages, families, or individuals - from a relational lens.

Headway makes it easier to find family-focused support — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding family therapists in Syracuse starts with understanding what your family wants help navigating. Family therapy may support concerns like parenting conflict, adolescent struggles, blended family dynamics, and communication across generations. Family therapists are trained to work with the relational system, not just one person. As you compare options, look for a therapist whose listed specialties, approach, and experience match the people who may attend sessions.
In a smaller city like Syracuse, the number of local family therapists may be more limited than in larger New York markets. Virtual appointments can expand your options while still giving you access to therapists licensed in New York. Family therapy sessions may include the full family, smaller groups, or individual members, depending on your goals and the therapist’s approach. Before booking, read each therapist’s bio for details on session structure, availability, communication style, and whether they offer a free phone consultation.
Therapy in Syracuse can be a significant investment without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs. Headway helps you find family therapists, review availability, and see whether they’re accepting new patients and what insurance information is listed on their profiles. You can enter your insurance details to see your estimated out-of-pocket cost before booking, then review bios and book directly when you’re ready.
If anyone in your family is experiencing or worried about abuse, threats, or coercion, joint family or couples therapy usually isn't the right starting point — individual support is safer. The Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline (1-800-422-4453) and National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233, or text START to 88788\) can help you think through next steps.
